Basilica of St. Lawrence ouside the city walls

It is the result of the fusion of two churches respectively of the IV and V cent. Famous for its mosaics, the beautiful columns and the rich Cosmatesque objects. It was heavily damaged by a bomb that fell on the church on 19th July 1943
